Volunteering feels good! Volunteers at Sweetwater Creek State Park enjoy our wildlife and history, try new things, get to know the staff and visitors, spend volunteer time with family or special friends and share their expertise to help us with unique projects.

On-Going Programs:

  • Guided Informative History Tours to the Mill Ruins
  • Guided Geology Hikes
  • Guided Hikes to East Side Ridge
  • Candle Light Hikes to the Mill Ruins
  • Fall Hay Rides to Jack's Hill
     

Annual Events:

  • Sweetwater Factory Days - Everyday Life in the 1850s
  • New Manchester Days - Civil War Living History
  • Guided Hikes to East Side Ridge
  • Rivers Alive Cleanup
  • Arts and Craft Shows
     

On-Going Activities:

  • Assist Park Personnel with Park Maintenance, Programs, Events and Special Projects
  • Trail Maintenance
  • Assist Park Personnel at the Visitor's Center
  • Fundraising Programs to Raise Money to Help with Park Expenses
  • Research the History of the Park and Town of New Manchester
     



Our regularly scheduled membership meeting is held the third Saturday of every month at 9AM at the Volunteer Office.
